The Plano ISD Board of Trustees conducts meetings to deliberate and consider District business and to provide Board Members an opportunity to discuss issues with each other and with staff. As required by law, written notice of the date, hour, place, and subject of all meetings is posted at least 72 hours before the scheduled time of the meeting. Board Meetings are open to the public and are held to conduct the formal business of the District.
Work Sessions are open to the public and held to discuss items and to receive information. Action on an agenda item may be taken during a Work Session when properly posted.
A Special Meeting is a business meeting held on a date other than a regularly scheduled meeting on the published calendar.

Emergency Meetings are called to address a reasonably unforeseeable situation or an imminent threat to public health and safety which requires immediate action by the Board and may be scheduled with a one-hour notice. Unless hindered by the emergency, Emergency Meetings are videotaped and available on the Plano ISD website.
